Buddha
Game Artist
My name is Buddha and I’m from Gothenburg, Sweden. I didn’t really think art was for me growing up, never really saw myself thinking I could do anything creatively. I always loved games though, and I started making some small games with the help of a Game Editor for Kids, and along with my fascination of anime, I started finding my footing in aesthetics.
I’ve tried getting a bit into comics, finearts, sketching; but I feel like I keep coming back to games or interactivity. There’s just something so inherently exciting to me where you can progress through narration or thought concepts through a player’s own agency. Florence and Papers Please are two games that I think beautifully weave together art and gameplay, and I hope I’ll be able to do something similar one day.
When it comes to game art, I’ve usually ended up in projects where I had to own the entire art process; from concept, modeling, texturing, rigging, animation, effects, post effects and materials. I do enjoy being able to understand the entire pipeline. That being said, I thoroughly enjoy diving into some detailed specifics such as tinkering with small details of animation.
